This weekend, I went to the The Sarasota Chalk Festival at Burns Court. This was during the weekend of October 30 & 31st when it became America’s First International Street Painting Festival.
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, beautiful weather and Burns Court was full of people, families and dogs. The moment I arrived, I was so impressed to see the art work. I cannot believe these artists were painting for 2 days non-stop. But the final work was just AMAZING.
There were 3D paintings, kids paintings, adults, modern, dark, all were Halloween themed. This festival brought artists from around the world.
Only one, from Holland specially from Utrech, he was using a big QR code to promote his website. This is pretty cool and modern. Even thou not that many people know what a QR code is. This is his site: www.dufois.com His name is Leon Keer and his painting is the second on this blog. He finished in 3rd place at the Festival.
Beside the art, there was vendors, live music, dogs, kids, and a lot of fun. It was just a unique experience.
