I visited my cousins in El Hatillo, which is a small town/village southeast of the capitol Caracas. This town/village, like any good Venezuelan town, has a Plaza Bolivar, stores, restaurants, cultural activities and more. This is a very picturesque town with small one lane roads, colorful houses on the hills, and is just a perfect place to be on Sunday afternoon. You forget that El Hatillo is right next to the big busy city Caracas. It is refreshing to visit El Hatillo. The weather is always very crisp.
One of the stops we made was at Hannsi, a store that is like a gallery piece of art. It has 3 floors and it is loaded with amazing hand made crafts from different areas of Venezuela. It just gives you chills to see how beautiful and diverse Venezuela is. Also, they have a cafeteria in which you can get fresh brewed coffee mmmmm and typical sweets. I just love it.
Here is the video to inspire you, plus we also had an amazing dinner at Capri
Quote: "The principal objective of Hanssi is that every Venezuelan or foreigner that visits the store not only takes a little souvenir, but also they are taking a little piece of Venezuela as well"
"El objetivo principal de Hannsi es que cada uno de los venezolanos y los extranjeros que nos visitan no solo se lleven un recuerdo sino un pedazo de Venezuela." Quote from the owners, visit site below for more information.

Thanks, Hanssi, for showing us Venezuelans and foreigners the beauty of hand made Venezuelan crafts. It is just a unique experience.
