One beautiful afternoon in September, my mom and grandma took me to one of their latest discoveries, Fortissimo H. Since it's a very popular cafe, we had to wait outside for 30 minutes to get our table.
Once we entered the cafe, I immediately recognized enjoyable smell of coffee beans and sweets. I also noticed more than 30 different kind of desserts displayed beautifully in the refrigerated case. My mom said that I had to try their unique cream puffs, so I decided to try one along with a cup of cappuccino.
About 10 minutes later, our waitress delivered cream puffs and drinks with forks, knives and spoons. Knives? Yes, I had to use a knife to cut my cream puff because its surface is very crunchy. Almond flavored shell was baked perfectly and filled with delicious custard cream. My cappuccino was also different, at least any of the cafes or restaurants that I've been to in the US didn't offer this technique. Maybe it's popular only in Japan and Europe. They added cool art (two sea lions) in the foam on top of cappuccino. Surprisingly, the art kept its shape until I finished.
Fortissimo H... another great cafe in Nagoya. Fortissimo H Official Web site.
