Gelateria del Duomo is one of the greatest gelateria in Tampa bay. I can tell you that because I helped at the beginning of the journey. This is a place operated by Italian-Venezuelan that started a dream in Tampa, right on the International Plaza.
This is my friend from College (Florida Southern College) Roberto Mori. It is a family owned and opened it doors on March 2004.
Gelateria del Duomo offers more than 20 flavors of gelato, made with the freshness ingredients and it is just 6% fat. Their gelatos are made daily and their service is great. You can try all the flavors and that is the part that is very hard to do. Choose which one you want.
I'm a chocolate lover, so I try all of them. For me, the Baccio makes the trick. The combination of chocolate and hazelnuts is just amazing. The texture of a gelato is unique and so soft and perfect that all your senses just goes crazy with the flavor. It doesn't matter which flavor you pick, the result is the same.
So finally after I go back to my Baccio and Mokacchino cafe to sit outside to enjoy an afternoon with friends. Their beautiful chairs and the atmosphere that International Plaza has to offer makes a perfect place to stop to rest after shopping spreed or just for a nice date ;)

Gelato, coffee, (real coffee), cakes, sweets, italian refreshness and more. Everything is Italian and the decoration of the place is just amazing. It has an european feel and it is really worth it.
